Background and History
The Soft Bedding Company has a well established history of crafting the finest quality quilts, pillows and toppers in Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland. The cold north atlantic wind which sweeps across the western sea board in winter time delivering sharply cold temperatures has taught us to make products which will keep you snug and warm at night time. We are fortunate in summer time that the south west wind breezes up from the warm gulf stream delivering warm summers which has inspired us to develop a summer product range which will regulate you whilst you sleep. We pay the utmost attention to detail when making our products and this has opened doors for us into domestic and export markets. The company has a trusted and well established supply base and it sources its raw materials in Europe, Far East, Middle East and the UK.
Our Collection Range
We have a tradition in manufacturing textiles which has been handed down from generation to generation and this is deeply ingrained in our heritage. Now we ply our trade to making luxurious natural and synthetic products which can be split into 2 categories:
Natural duvets/pillows/toppers: These are made from feather, feather & down and down in both duck and goose species. The company sources its feather, feather & down and down in Ireland, Europe and North America so it can offer the full range of quilts/pillows/toppers with a bespoke filling. The outer casing comes from a well established source in China and starts with a minimum 100% cotton 233 thread count quality. We also offer a 280 thread count with soft finish, 330 thread count with a baffle wall and a top of the range 450 thread count 4 dot jacquard all in 100% cotton outer casing. The duvets have a cassette boxed design. These products are made to European standard.
Synthetic quilts/pillows/toppers: These products are filled with polyester staple fibre which can be carded or blown. This can then be covered by a 70/30 polycotton, microfiber and 100% cotton outer casings. Soft bedding offer a range of fillings such as hollowfibre, spiral, siliconised hollowfibre, anti allergy hollowfibre, clusterfil and microfibre. The duvets can be made in a straight line, wave and square design. These products are made to British standard.
As the company makes both its natural and synthetic products in Westport, it gives us significant flexibility to match our customer needs. This ensures that we are always in stock and can offer a high level of service due to our short lead times which are essential. The company does this with an experienced team of people who have immense pride in their workmanship and always strive to make to the highest level of quality.
The company makes under The Soft Bedding Company brand and also under the Sleep Well Live Well brand. Both of these brands categorize the product at a glance to assist you when making a purchasing decision. We also offer an own brand service.
