Responsibility
Social and Ethical responsibility is a core business principle which is inherent at The Soft Bedding Company.
We are not only committed to producing a range of Eco friendly, sustainable products but to maintaining required standards for ethical sourcing and traceability. We work side by side with the renowned UL organisation, to ensure that we are compliant with the latest ethical codes and practices.

Oeko-Tex
We are happy to inform you that all our key raw materials are Oke-Tex accredited. That means they are free from harmful substances when they are been produced downstream. This is important as it gives comfort that there are no harmful chemicals in the process. This is a global certification that gives confidence to buyers and customers alike.
This certification is important for our duvets, pillows and toppers because the human skin is permeable, which means that if there are harmful chemicals in a fabric or material this can be absorbed into your skin.
BCI
BCI works with cotton farmers all around the world, providing training and capacity building on more sustainable agricultural practices. Producers must meet the core requirements of the Better Cotton Principles and Criteria in order to become licensed to grow and sell their cotton as Better Cotton. We want to help cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment.
Our cotton is sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative on select ranges as we work with our suppliers to look after all our futures.

Duntrack
Soft bedding uses the Duntrack system to trace all its feather and down material from the first step in the chain of production right through to the finished product. Cutting edge Isotope technology is used for origin control. Duntrack is very mindful of ethical principles in the supply chain; Human rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption. Duntrack is audited by a 3rd party IDFL to ensure uniform compliance.
Our natural products contain Feather and Down which has been ethically sourced from suppliers who ensure that this beautifully soft material is free from animal cruelty and has been obtained humanely.
GRS
The Global Recycling Standard is used to certify that you can track and verify the content of recycled materials in our products. Thankfully the GRS certificate applies to the whole chain of production and not just one isolated segment. The reason we certify our products with GRS is so we can confirm that we are supporting a circular economy. The objective of the circular economy is to reduce waste in our planet and to contribute to a more sustainable place to live for everyone. The GRS also certifies that the suppliers along the chain of production have acted responsibly when it comes to social, environmental and chemical practices.

International Down and Feather Bureau
We are a member of the IDFB who provide a worldwide association for the down/feather industry along with testing institutes for down/feather material. The IDFB promotes the use of down and feather in home products. It is a second party agency policing the trade for sustainability, humane practices, quality and responsibility.
